Orchesis About:Created in the 1940s, Orchesis began as 51Æ·²è’s premiere dance ensemble. Now, a student-led organization, Orchesis is a fun, supportive team that provides members with an opportunity to experience all facets of dance: workshops, teaching, choreography, performance, costume design, technical production, and more. No experience is necessary. Orchesis aims to introduce students to broad opportunities for active participation in a variety of forms and forums of dance. Orchesis participates in school activities and collaborates with other groups to create a sense of camaraderie and community on campus. Fundraisers are held throughout the year to raise money for events that strengthen the dance curriculum.Membership:Anyone is welcome to join and no experience is needed. If you are interested, please contact Jen Graham or orchesis@wilson.edu.
